Assistance

SBA offers low interest loans to businesses to repair or replace real estate, personal property, machinery and equipment, inventory and business assets that have been damaged or destroyed in a declared disaster.

The American Red Cross offers assistance after disasters.

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Emergency Management Office offers advisement and coordination of all parts of the emergency response and recovery process. In times of crisis, business owners can fall victim to scams; people/companies who offer recovery services but may not be qualified to perform them. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)

The FEMA mobile app for phones and tablets contains disaster safety tips, an interactive emergency kit list, storable emergency meeting locations, and a map with open shelters and open FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs).

The app also has a Disaster Reporter feature, allowing you to take and submit GPS photo reports of disasters so they can be displayed on a public map for others to view.
