The Crowns of Enterprise Awards are tomorrow, May 17th. In preparation, it only makes sense to celebrate past award winner, Choice Translating, Inc., as today's #31daysofbiz featured business.

Founded by Michelle Menard in 1995, Choice Translating, Inc. is a full-service linguistic company. In fact, this is the second time we've had the opportunity to talk to Michelle–keep reading to learn more!

CBRbiz.com: If you had to choose one thing, what would you want to be the best in the world at? Michelle Menard: I’m fortunate and work with talented, passionate, internationally-minded people, including my husband! I hope our positive impact with clients and linguists all over the world reinforces that, regardless of what medium or language we’re using to communicate, we do it in a positive, respectful way. We make the world a better place – literally – one word at a time.

Choice Translating was launched in a tiny apartment where Michelle lived with her mom and sister in the 90s.

CBRbiz.com:Describe your morning routine.

Michelle Menard: While everyone else at home is asleep, I quietly enjoy French-press coffee with milk and local honey while reading the local and international news. Then we eat breakfast with our 6-year-old before the sometimes frantic, mad-dash to get her out the door to school and myself to the office. Weekend routines are slower and include gathering eggs at our farm in the foothills.

Choice team member Melissa Harris with Luke Kuechly sign language interpreting at a recent event. They are signing the word "interpreter".

CBRbiz.com: How would you like for people to remember you? And your business?

Michelle Menard: As connectors. We help make the world smaller, more connected, and a better place to be through language services.
