“Key Employee Retention” Workshop, Sponsored by SCORE Charlotte

In this interactive workshop, Kevin D. Monaghan, an industry expert, guides business owners to view their compensation strategies from a new perspective. Attendees will work through key employee valuations that help them determine solutions to retain, inspire and reward their leaders.

Key Decisions:

  • Structuring your Retention Strategy using the 6 Pillars of Compensation
  • Extending your servant leadership through your compensation program
  • Avoiding the conflicts of interest that exist in compensation negotiations
  • Understanding how your Compensation Strategy can increase your Exit Price

Workshop Activities

  1. Participants will break into groups and role play a Compensation Negotiation.
  2. Attendees will work through three Key Employee Valuation Formulas to determine what their key person is worth to their business.

Speaker: Kevin D. Monaghan

Kevin D. Monaghan is Founder/Director of Intuitive Compensation Group in Charlotte. His experience ranges from running a 44-person consulting firm in Shanghai, China, to “cold calling” his way into the writer’s room on NBC’s TV show, The Office and Parks and Recreation. He’s an industry expert who works with American business owners to help retain key employees, develop buyout strategies and navigate working family business partners. He graduated from Siena College in New York and attended Bond University in Queensland, Australia. He makes live appearances all over the country, helping business owners align their goals with workable compensation models.
