City of Charlotte Announces 4th Cohort of AMP UP! Minority Business Development Program
The City of Charlotte will launch its fourth cohort of AMP UP in May 2021!
AMP UP is a seven-month virtual business development program that prepares minority business owners for growth and expansion. The program focuses on peer learning, strategic planning, marketing and sales, financial management, human resources, and accessing government and private contracts.
What can I expect to learn?
The program utilizes the StreetWise ‘MBA’ curriculum powered by Interise, a non-profit organization focused on helping established small business owners scale and amplify their business. Forty hours of virtual classroom learning are divided into five targeted modules:
- Business & Strategic Assessment: Setting the Stage for Growth
- Finances: Balancing Cash Flow & Bottom Line
- Marketing & Sales: Building Profitable Sales
- Resources: Getting What You Need to Grow
- Putting It All Together
AMP UP curriculum is supplemented by self-directed CEO mentoring groups throughout the program.
What will I achieve?
Participants complete the seven-month program with a customized, three-year strategic growth plan – plus, the confidence and ability to turn those plans into action! Small businesses that successfully completed the full 100+ hour program experience an average of double-digit growth rates, create jobs faster than the private sector, and pay higher average salaries with better benefits.
How do I learn more? Join a virtual Open House on April 13. Click here to register to attend:
