Ventureprise is UNC Charlotte’s innovation and entrepreneurship center serving the campus and the Charlotte region. It accelerates university technology commercialization through its National Science Foundation I-Corps Site program. Through the Ventureprise Launch program, regional innovation-driven entrepreneurs accelerate customer discovery and business model generation through participation in the six-week program. The 49er Foundry student incubator offers UNC Charlotte students programming, mentorship, and office space. Portal Coworking offers shared office space to students, faculty and community entrepreneurs and innovators. The facility provides a ‘plug-and-play’ environment for members. Ventureprise supports members through programming, training and mentoring. The annual Charlotte Venture Challenge features the region’s most promising university and regional based early-stage innovation-based enterprises.
