Celebrate 31 Days of Business in May!

Updated April 2017.

Each year, the Small Business Administration (SBA) designates the first week in May, (April 30 – May 6), as the SBA National Small Business Week, but here in Charlotte we will be celebrating all month long. The City of Charlotte and its small business resource partners have declared May to be Small Business Month 2017, with an official proclamation by Mayor Jennifer Roberts.

We recognize the entrepreneurial spirit of our community and honor all small businesses and entrepreneurs that play a pivotal role in strengthening our local economy.

During Small Business Month, we celebrate Charlotte’s thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem with award ceremonies, seminars, networking events and trade shows. Join us on May 2nd at 6 p.m. to kick-off Small Business Month with a fun networking event! To learn more about what’s planned, visit our calendar of events.

This year, we’re doing something extra special by spotlighting one local business every day, including our very first CBR Ambassador.

Celebrate with us online by joining the conversation using the hashtags #31DaysofBiz and #CLTMonthofBiz.  Be sure to “Like” us on Facebook and “Follow” us on Twitter and Instagram.
